Sam Altman, the founder of OpenAI, the company behind the artificial intelligence app ChatGPT, has been accused by his sister of sexual assault, including rape.
Ann Altman’s lawsuit alleges that the woman was sexually abused by her brother between 1997 and 2006. The lawsuit was filed on January 6, 2025, in Missouri District Court.
Sam Altman allegedly began abusing his sister when she was three years old, while her husband was 12.
In a statement released by Sam Altman, his two brothers and mother denied the allegations, calling “all of the allegations false.”
They said their sister suffers from a mental health condition.
In the lawsuit, Ann Altman said she is seeking $75,000 in compensatory damages.
This is not the first time this woman has accused her brothers of sexual abuse, as she previously accused her two older brothers of the same.
