Three Java-InovoTec riders, Byukusenge Patrick, Manizabayo Eric ‘Karadiyo’ and Tuyizere Étienne, are in Europe where they will spend five months competing in various races.
The riders returned to Kigali last night, having left Kigali on a RwandAir flight bound for Paris, France.
It has been reported that they will spend five months with the Pédale Pilotine Team in Martinique, a French island.
Via its social media, the Java-InovoTec Team said: “Today, our riders left for France where they will stay until the end of the season, competing in various races in Europe, training in preparation for the 2025 UCI World Cycling Championships to be held in Kigali.”
Java-InovoTec agreed to release the players after talks with the French team’s management after the 2025 Tour du Rwanda.
Manizabayo Eric, who had been with Java-InovoTec for a few months, finished the 2025 Tour du Rwanda in 12th place, Byukusenge Patrick in 19th place, while Tuyizere Étienne was 53rd.
Munyaneza Didier, Mugisha Moïse, Uwizeye Jean Claude and Areruya Joseph are other Rwandan players who have been part of the Pédale Pilotine team.
